PariMate Game Rules
PariMate is a peer-to-peer betting platform focusing on football (soccer) predictions during its initial phase. Users create or join games for upcoming matches and predict the final score. The user with the most points at the end of the game wins the stake.
1. User Accounts
• Users must be 18+ to create an account and participate in betting.
• Users can create a profile with a username and avatar (optional).
2. Events
• PariMate currently offers upcoming football matches as events.
3. Creating a Game (Game Captain)
• Any user can become a game captain by creating a game.
• To create a game, the user predicts upcoming matches from the current 10 match fixtures active on PariMate for the week.
• The user that creates the game becomes the game captain and sets the stake amount (minimum stake amount can be enforced by PariMate).
4. Joining a Game
• Users can browse a list of publicly available games created by other users or join a private game by invitation.
• Each game to be joined displays details like the total pot amount, stake amount, the number of users who have already joined, and match fixtures to predict.
• Users can choose to join a game by staking an amount equal to the game captain's stake.
5. Making Predictions
• Once a user joins a game, they predict the final score of the match by entering a specific scoreline (e.g., Home Team 2 - Away Team 1).
6. Point System
• PariMate uses a point system to reward users for accurate predictions.
- • Exact Score Match: Predicting the exact final score awards the highest number of points (20 points).
- • Winner Prediction: Predicting the correct winner (home team, away team, or draw) awards a moderate number of points (12 points).
- • Win Margin Prediction: Predicting the correct winner and the margin of victory within a certain range (e.g., within 1 goal) awards a lower number of points (4 points) compared to an exact win margin prediction (potentially offering bonus points in the future).
- NOTE: Win margin points only apply when the correct winner is predicted. Does not apply to a draw or a loss
• If a game is abandoned, its becomes null and void and no points allocated
• Users can see a breakdown of how points are awarded for different prediction outcomes.
Example:
Consider a game where the actual score is Home Team 3 - Away Team 1. Here are some potential scenarios:
- • User A: Predicts Home Team 3 - Away Team 1 (exact score match) - Earns 20 points.
- • User B: Predicts Away Team win (incorrect winner) - Earns 0 points.
- • User C: Predicts Home Team win and within 2 goal margin (correct winner and win margin) - Earns 12 points + 4 points = 16 points.
- • User D: Predicts Draw (incorrect winner) - Earns 0 points.
In this example, User A would be the winner with 20 points.
7. Bet Settlement
• The outcome of the bet is determined based on the official results of the match.
• PariMate uses reliable data sources to verify results.
• In case of disputes (e.g., score discrepancies, postponements), PariMate may have a designated team to review and make a final decision.
8. Winning & Payouts
• The user with the most points at the end of the game wins the entire stake pool (all users' stakes combined), minus the PariMate commission fee of 10%.
• In case of a tie in points, the stake pool is split proportionally among the tied users.
• Winnings are automatically credited to the user's PariMate wallet and can be withdrawn using available methods.
9. Responsible Betting
• PariMate promotes responsible betting practices.
• PariMate monitors users' betting patterns and provides support and guidance for those who may be experiencing issues, including options to temporarily pause their account.
• PariMate may offer resources and support for users who might be struggling with gambling addiction.
